Monthly Archives: February 2010

New.

New look, new hosting company, new day.

Busy Needles!

Yep, I’ve had busy needles as of late!

A friend had a baby not too terribly long ago, and I made this for her as a babymooning gift:

Molly's Gifty

Pattern: Yvaine by Liz Abinante, somewhat modified — or Ravelled
Yarn: Wisdom Poems Sock
Needles: 5.0 mm (US 8) 16″ circular

I love the shawl pattern. It’s simple, versatile, and showcases yarn fabulously. I’m sure to make many (that was my second). Liz has a bunch of other awesome patterns that you should check out too.

Needles: 2.5 mm 40″ Addi Turbos

I made my first lace shawl wherein I discovered I like nupps:

Camilla got an adorable new cardigan:

JR got an awesome little jester hat, complete with bells (that I already have to replace):

And now I have a handful of other projects on the needles but I’ll write about those another time!

Sock it to me!

Two new patterns are available!

Scrappy Sockdown – A Toe-Up Pattern and Jellybean’s Special Socks. These are Ravelry links, and these patterns will be made available in my website’s store soon.

Scrappy Sockdown – A Toe-Up Pattern is written as a basic sock but covers a huge variety of gauges, so it is SURE to fit your knitting style, yarn choice, and needle preference!

Jellybean’s Special Socks is a large baby/toddler/small child’s sock pattern, written for BOTH cuff-down AND toe-up construction!

Go check them out now so you too can load up your needles!

Here Fishy Fishy

I knit these over the last week. (It’s Carassius by Kristin Bellehumeur, from the Sock Yarnista Club by Three Irish Girls.)

Sooooo pretty. Love them.

Fronts of both socks

*smooch*

There are two fish kissing on the back of each leg

Love so much.
