My son is going through a language explosion. It’s wonderful watching his knowledge expand, his vocabulary grow, his personality develop. And it’s a nice reminder that I have to watch my mouth. Damn it.

Wednesday evening, January 23rd, while he was on his changing table, he touched his stomach and called it “belly.” Yay, yes, that’s your belly!

Then he stuck a finger up his nostril, and called it “no” (nose, without the -se sound). Yay, yes, that’s your nose!

Then he slapped the top of his head, and called it “head.” Yay, yes, that’s your head!

Then he grabbed his penis, and called it “peepee.” *giggle* Yay, yes, that’s your peepee. Yes, you are your father’s son.

Then I tried to get his diaper on him. “Aaaaagh!” Okay, okay! No diaper yet. “Peepee!” *giggle* Yes, that’s your peepee.

For the record, Daddy is so very very proud of his son.
